MEET OUR FOUNDER
Dr Derek McGlashan brings more than 25 years' experience across ports, infrastructure, energy, renewables, environmental regulation, sustainability and safety.
He spent more than two decades in senior roles within the ports sector, including responsibility for environment, sustainability and safety across a major UK ports group. He has subsequently developed a portfolio of advisory and non-executive roles spanning ports, maritime, energy transition and technology.
His experience covers major infrastructure development, consenting, regulatory engagement, operational risk, energy networks, renewable energy, ESG and sustainability. He has also been involved in complex investigations and regulatory processes following significant incidents.
This combination of executive, technical and board experience enables Saltire to provide independent advice grounded in what can actually be consented, financed, delivered and operated.
